  1. 本段是市政委員會調(diào)查員對交通情況進行訪問調(diào)查的對話。調(diào)查員遇到一位路人，進而展開了訪

  問 “I wonder if you could spare a few minutes to do a survey on transport.(請問您可以抽出幾分鐘做一下關(guān)于交通的調(diào)查嗎?)”其中“spare a few minutes”意為“花幾分鐘”;“do a survey”意為“做調(diào)查”。

  2. 路人同意做此份調(diào)查，調(diào)查員又簡單介紹了所代表的機構(gòu)“The survey is on behalf of...”，其中“on behalf of’ 意為“代表”。

  3. 簡單詢問了受訪者的基本信息后，調(diào)查員讓其提一些建議想法，原句為“...I’d like you to give us some ideas about the facilities and arrangements in the city for getting to and from work”，其中“give some ideas about”意為“對……提出些想法”;“get to and from work”意為“上下班”。
