  參考回答 1 I think two days is kind of the bare minimum for weekends now, but I've read that wasn’t always like this–in the past, there was no real concept of a “weekend” –people would get time off on Sundays to go to church and a half day on Saturdays, but there was no weekend like we have nowadays. People literally fought and died to have two days away from work, which should tell you something about how much people value their free time and dislike their jobs.

  參考回答 2 I think my weekends are long enough –I have enough time to do everything I want to do (such as shopping and seeing my friends) and if I had any more free time I wouldn’ t know what to do with it.

  4. How important do you think it is to have free time at the weekends? [Why?]

  參考回答 1 It depends on the person–some people I know work right through their weekends and others can’t function without it. For myself, I’d probably side with the latter–if I didn’t have weekends I imagine I’d end up going slightly crazy.

  參考回答 2 It’s important to have free time at the weekends, but I think work and study is much more important than relaxing, so people who complain about not having enough free time are probably just lazy.
