  The school rule I dislike is that students should get enrolled on time.

  Personally, I think this rule is a little bit too strict. And my own experience could explain it. Two years ago, I got the offer from a top university in China. The university is in another city, I got loads of luggage, and the first time I got in a completely new place made me believe that I should save as much time and energy on the way. So I booked the flight ticket like one month earlier. But who could ever expect that the flight was unluckily delayed on that day.

  When I was at the boarding gate in the airport, I was informed that the plane couldn't take off on time because of the weather. The officer at the airport service informed us politely that we would enjoy the free dinner and spend a night at a hotel. I would never ever imagine the situation. But I had no choice but to accept their offer. The fact proved that I wasn't that lucky. The flight didn't take off until the next afternoon, which made me totally miss the enrollment date of the university.

  I do understand that having a fixed enrollment date is a convenience for the school, and students should obey the rules. But there is always something unexpected happening to students. I hope the school can change the rule and take unforeseen circumstances into account.
