本期節目話題參考文本 Well, just a couple of days ago my friend called me and told me she wanted to meet and chat urgently. I was busy with work, so I asked her if we could postpone this get-together to another day. She said she had to tell me something very important. I asked her to tell me about it on the phone if it was so important but she insisted on meeting me face to face. I felt compelled to accept. In the evening we met at a café. My friend looked as if she had won the lottery! I couldn’t wait to find out what had happened.
First, she took out something from her bag that looked like a greeting card and pushed it towards me without saying a single word. I took the card and it appeared to be a wedding invitation. Then she announced that she is going to get married in 2 months. My jaw dropped. I was very excited but surprised when my friend told me the story of how she met a guy and got engaged all within just a few days. I listened to her attentively as I knew that she had been dreaming of this moment for a long time. Then she showed me a photo of her fiancé. He looked quite handsome and smart. I hugged her and congratulated her. She went on to tell me about his personality and his family. She said that he’s well educated and works for a multinational company. I’m so happy for her and I’m sure she will have a wonderful married life.
