  It is true that parents should allow their adolescent children a degree Of autonomy, because children can learn from their own mistakes and get to the world better if given some chances.But young people have the inborn features that they are always curious about new experience without being aware Of possible consequences in many cases, and considering the fact that they are well exposed to vile behavior and violent images in the media and on the Internet these days, it is right that parent should take a step back and reconsider the situation.

  In summary, parents have a responsibility to both care for and prepare their children before they are granted certain privileges and responsibilities at the age of 18. Having some more intervention in children's life is actually helping them become adequate adults later on.
