  Many young people today know more about international pop and movie stars than about famous people in the history of their countries.

  The first reason may be that those stars have greater media exposure.

  * 第1句是是“濃縮概括”的方式引出第一個原因的“總”想法：“greater media exposure”。

  The TV adverts and billboards that promote those celebrities are so ubiquitous that young people cannot avoid them.

  * 第2句是對于第1句的“展開”。在展開的過程中，一定要注意找準對象：“greater media exposure”。句中，“The TV adverts and billboards”細化了“media”，“ubiquitous”以及“cannot avoid”細化了“greater”。

  Second, history may be a heavy subject, stressful, and may cause sorrow.

  * 第3句第二個理由的“論證起點”，說出history的特點。

  Many of those significant people made history with great personal sacrifice. When they are mentioned, there are often blood and tears.

  Younger generations may be overprotected from such things, or they deliberately escape such things.

  三、詞匯維度(LR)：

  文中加粗且有顏色區分的詞匯，都值得查詞典后記憶。

  * 注意：名詞必須留意是否可數;動詞必須留意是否及物。

  四、語法和句型維度(GRA)：

  * 第1句是“主—系—表”結構，其中表語是名詞性從句，即常說的“表語從句”。

  * 第2句中，so … that … 構成一個句型。其中，so是表達程度的副詞，修飾主句中表語的程度，that引導結果狀語從句。

  * 第3、4、5、6句都是常規句型。

  * 第7句中，結尾是動詞分詞引導的伴隨狀語，伴隨狀語所說的事情是跟著主句里的事情進而發生的，所以叫“伴隨”。
